Daniel B. Ponce
Daniel Baca Ponce’ went home to be with the Lord, his Heavenly Father on 6/13/2017. Daniel was born 6/17/1957, in Morenci, Arizona. He loved soccer and wrestling and attained Arizona State wrestling records. He also was the Varsity Wrestling Captain for his High School. He coached A.Y.S.O. Soccer for many years and accomplished to have his team become first place winners for numerous years. Graduating in 1975 from Cholla High School in Tucson, Arizona. Then enlisting in the United States Army, he served in Communications and became a Wireman, of the 4 years in active duty he spent 2 ½ in Germany loving Europe. Upon receiving his Honorable Discharge, he started work for Tucson Electric Power. Daniel was a Patriot. He proudly served another 6 years in the Army National Guard. Danny (which his family called him) is survived by his loving Mother Angelica Baca Ponce’, who made it possible for him to live his last days at home. His former wife Nadine Aguilar and the pride of his life, his 3 sons. Jason A. Ponce’, Jacob A. Ponce’ and his youngest Joshua A. Ponce’. His daughter-in-law Emily who is married to Jason have given him 3 grandchildren, Nicondros, Elizabeth and Nathaniel. Danny’s youngest son Joshua has given him another grandson, Brayden. Danny was loved and will be missed by his 8 nieces, 3 nephews. 7 grand nieces and 4 grand nephews. Danny has left a whole for his 2 younger brothers, one being his best friend (John B. Ponce’) and wife Monica Ponce and youngest brother Edward B. Ponce’and wife Rose R. Ponce’. His one and only little sister Cynthia Ponce’. Danny not only loved Sports and Family but he was a dog lover, he usually had one or two with him. Target and Skeet shooting he really enjoyed with the people around him. He was a High-Spirited Soul and a Comedian and Oh what a story teller! Many great memories have been made with many of the people close to him and we will never forget. We have all truly missed and love you so much Danny!
