Obituary

Donna Krakowiak

1946-2021

On Monday June 21, 2021, Donna Lee Krakowiak, at the age of 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after suffering a stroke, the last of several over the past 10 years. Her devotion to her family and her firm faith in God comforted her in her struggles and gave her peace. She will be greatly missed by her family, and we look toward the resurrection when we shall meet again.

Donna was born to the late Bernard and Alma Wasserburger in Newark, NJ on May 21, 1946. She would later move to Arizona, where she remained for over 50 years.

The simple pleasures in life brought much joy to Donna. The ocean, reading, rock-n-roll music, and enjoying the outdoors on the garden patio listening and watching the birds. Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She laughed a lot, and listened more and always encouraged one to trust in the Lord.

Donna is survived by her former husband, Michael Krakowiak, their daughter, Wendy Morthland (Bryce) and her three grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Christian burial will be held at the Marana Cemetery at 8:30 a.m. on June 28, with Pastor Christopher Chelpka officiating. Reception to follow at her daughter’s residence.
