Leslie T. "Les" Lovell

Leslie (Les) T. Lovell died unexpectedly at home on April 3, 2016 in Catalina, AZ at the age of 55.

Les is survived by his wife, Dawn Lovell; children Amanda Barham and husband, Brandon Barham, Harrison Campbell and Emily Church, and Fletcher Campbell; brothers Gerald Lovell Jr. and wife, Patty, and James Lovell, several cousins, aunts, and uncles. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Les was born on April 22, 1960 in Rhinebeck, NY to Gerald and Olive Lovell. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1978. He married Dawn in 1998. Les worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Yonkers Contracting for 16 years. After moving to Arizona in December 2013, Les enjoyed many outdoor activities including flying RC airplanes and helicopters at the Sonoran Desert Flyers RC Club and also riding our Polaris RZR with friends at Rail-X, Charouleau Gap, and Cottonwoods areas near home and the sand dunes.

Les was an amazing mechanic and often fixed the unfixable. He was generous with his time and always willing to help others.

A celebration of life will be held at Bianchi’s Italian Restaurant on Tangerine Road in Marana on Wednesday, April 6th, 5 – 8 for local family and friends. A memorial service will be held in NY in early May, date to be determined.
