Kim! I am so shocked and sorry to read this! My fb has been largely transformed by the fb police who don't like individual thought, so i no longer get posts from friends anymore. I pray that you get through this. I cannot say i know what you are feeling but i hope you have a great deal of support! I am so very sorry for you to have to go through this!

Our condolences to Kim and all of Derricks family and friends. Knowing Kim since she was in elementary school and watching her grow up, I was so happy when she met Derrick. He was that person that left an impression on you the minute you met him. He was the kindest man and he always had your back. I know he will be missed by many. May he Rest In Peace With all our love Mama Lori, Joshua & Kyle

The lights that you've left behind in the form of your children and the lives you have touched will be cherished always.

Derrick was truly one of the warmest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. A wonderful friend, an incredible father, and genuinely kind person. His personality was larger than life, and he could brighten up a room just by walking into it. His boisterous laugh, and kind words will be sorely missed.
