Obituary

Shirley Ann Brillhart Hinojosa, 78, passed away on October 23, 2020, in Tucson with her husband and son at her side. A kind and warm-hearted wife and mom, she lived a full and beautiful life. Shirley was born November 28, 1941, in Ecorse, Michigan. In her lifetime, Shirley enjoyed many activities: reading, going horseback riding, watching TV, going to the casino (once in a while), and riding on carousels and roller coasters.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lorin and Eleanor (Susewitz) Brillhart, her brother Gene Brillhart, and her half-brother Billy Brillhart.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of fifty-three years Manuel Hinojosa, her cherished son Matthew, her Aunt Doretta Susewitz, her sister-in-law Helen Brillhart, nephews Bryan Brillhart and Barry Brillhart, her half-brother Kerry Brillhart, numerous cousins, and many extended family members and friends.

It was Shirley’s wish to be cremated with no services.

Oh, Momma! I miss you so much already. I know you are with your mom and dad, your brother Gene, and your grandparents. That brings me some comfort to know you are being looked after. I love you for everything you did for me, and for just being my mom. I know you will be watching over me and dad as we try to figure out how to continue this journey without you here on earth. All my love, your son, Matt.
