Obituary

AUBRA CLAYTON SIMMONS JR.

 

On February 20, 2025, Aubra Simmons went to be with the Lord at the age of 71 at his place of residence.  Aubra was born to the union of the late Aubra Clayton Simmons Sr. and Ommie Lee Kidd on September 24, 1953, in Tucson, Arizona.

Aubra attended Pueblo High School in Tucson, Arizona.  He went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Navy (Veteran) for one tour of duty during the Vietnam War Era.

Aubra was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.

Aubra is the father of one child (son).

Aubra was preceded in death by his father, Aubra Clayton Simmons Sr., and his mother, Ommie Lee Kidd.

He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Darrell E. Simmons and grandson, Jayden Simmons of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Beverly A. (James) Chisolm of Surprise, Arizona; brothers, Clifford C. Simmons of Bremerton, Washington, Lutha L. Simmons of Tyler, Texas, Louis P. Kidd, Arvis Kidd, and Eddie Dixon of Tucson, Arizona; Uncle Roy Morgan and Aunt Florene (Wash) Morgan of Tucson, Arizona.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

To my family, Aubra is now at rest. He would want all of us to live our lives. I wish I could have been there. My prayers and blessings are with each one of you. John 5: 27-28, Acts 24:15. The Bible is the only thing we can rely on in this messed up world. Love you all❤️.
