Obituary

Bettie Faye Gerlach, 79, died of natural causes on May 12, 2020, in Marana, AZ.  Bettie  was born July 7, 1940, to Daniel (Toby) and Mabel Kathryn Sullivan in Greenup, KY.  During her lifetime, she held many occupations including long-haul truck driver for 25-plus years.  Just 5 foot, 1 inch tall, weighing 105 pounds, people were often shocked to see this little woman backing in and climbing out of an 18-wheeler.  Bettie loved music, singing, playing her guitar, writing songs, and Arizona.  She was right here in Arizona at the time of her passing, exactly where she wanted to be.  Bettie was preceded in death by infant daughter Cheryl Baldwin and son Robert (Bobby) Baldwin.  She is survived by three of her four children, Belinda Gunno, Sheridan, AR; Jerry Gerlach and Dawn Roberson, both of Hot Springs, AR, as well as her five grandchildren, caregivers and nieces, Cheri Chandler and Tammy Lozano, and three of her five siblings; Pete Sullivan, Helena Chatfield, and Glenda (Gigi) Simpson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Bettie will be cremated and her ashes will be lovingly released from Mt. Lemmon in Tucson, AZ, per her wishes.  Family and friends have been notified of her passing.

My love and prayers go out to all the family. I have wonderful memories of Betty, playing guitar, writing songs, singing, we could do this for hours, once we started it was hard to stop. Beautiful, kind lady. She is now with Bobby. Love and miss them both.
