Clarence Edson Henderson
Clarence Edson Henderson was born on Nov 12, 1934 at Los Angeles county hospital and passed away on January 7, 2019 at home. He is survived by his wife Deanna, two children. Terri (Scott) Krasner and Donald (Sharrie) Henderson; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer (Matthew) Edgington, Lauren Krasner, David Krasner, Aryanna Lawton; and 2 great grandchildren, Asher Edgington, Jonah Edgington.
On July 30, 1955. He married Deanna Jo Gardner. Clarence and Deanna were married for 63 years!
Clarence was always a good student and apparently a joy to have in the classroom. He was not only a good student, but he also participated in extra curricular activities. Of particular note, he was a trumpet player, and also enjoyed participating in the flag raising and lowering ceremonies daily, on the school grounds.
Clarence worked for the department of water and power in Los Angeles, which took in the greater Los Angeles area. He worked there for 35 years, and became the Senior Dispatcher for the whole valley. He also had the distinction of being the youngest Principle Dispatcher in the history of the department.
Clarence was very active in various civic organizations. He was an Elk. He was a Master Counselor in the International Order of DeMolay. He actively assisted young men in Boy Scouts to achieve their various merit badges.
Clarence was a man greatly appreciated, greatly loved, and will be greatly missed.
Graveside Services were held January 9, 2019 at Marana Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Tucson Medical Centers Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
