Donald Anthony Chester

Donald “Don” Anthony Chester, age 68 passed from this world to the next on Saturday, October 3rd, 2020. Don was born on April 2, 1952 in Roslyn, NY moving to Tucson in 2000. He is preceded in death by his father Michael Chester; mother Marie Chester (Musta), and daughter-in-law Joanna Chester (Nussman). He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Doris Ann Chester (Nelsen), sons Kevin Chester (Tricia) and Michael Chester.

Don leaves behind his 4 cherished grandchildren: Abigail “Abba” Marie Chester, Charlotte James Chester, Benjamin Michael Chester, and David Anthony Chester.

Don graduated from Paul D. Schreiber High School in Port Washington, where he met Doris. One day, Doris courageously asked him to go the Gambol (Prom). He said yes, and history was made. They married on September 14, 1974 in Port Washington, NY. They made Tucson their home in 2001.

A private viewing and graveside service will be held at Marana Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that you consider a monetary donation in Don’s name to the animal shelter of your choice.
