Condolences for Elizabeth L. Sparr

Marana Mortuary & Cemetery

Elizabeth (Betty) Reuter Sparr, 72, passed away in the early hours of December 15, 2019 with her loving husband by her side.

Born July 11, 1947 in Jackson Heights on Long Island, New York to John and Margaret Reuter, Betty and family moved to Tucson in 1950. She attended local schools and graduated from Tucson High School in 1965.  Betty was a long-time travel agent with local firms and at CARF International. Most recently, she was co-owner of a CDL physical and drug testing company.  Betty loved traveling, home decorating, and entertaining family and friends.  Betty is remembered as a devoted sister, loving wife, supportive mother, caring aunt, and kind friend.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Reuter, and brother John Reuter Jr. (2015). Betty is survived by husband Pat Sparr, son Douglas Saul II, sister Marguerite Buffalo (Joe), nieces Joni Rae-Westwood (Steve, Sam) and Tanya Buffalo (Brian, Ivy) and nephew John Reuter III (Debra, Mikayla, Josh). We find comfort in knowing that families are forever, and we will see her again someday.

Betty’s life is a blessing, her memory a treasure, she is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Betty’s name to the Hermitage Cat Shelter at hermitagecatshelter.org

What a loss... such a beautiful person, she treated me like she was my Aunt Betty. I am beyond sad that I won’t be able to see her smiling face anymore and hear her laugh. My deepest condolences to her immediate and extended family, who loved her dearly... I feel your pain and my heart breaks for you all.
