Gary Wesley Denton

Gary Wesley Denton, 80 of Marana AZ, passed away on March 3, 2016.

Born in Excelsior Springs, Missouri and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Gary served in the United States Navy for four years and an additional 16 years as a jet mechanic in the United States Air Force retiring in 1973 as a Technical Sergeant. Gary enjoyed riding horses, fishing and spending time with his family.

Gary was a dedicated family man and is survived by Tharon, his wife of 59 years, children Laura Burns (John), Troy Denton (Cheryl), Tina Moore (Michael), Brenda Johnson (Terry), and Tracy Peña (Gabriel); grandchildren Clint Burns (Alida), Matthew Burns, Jesse Burns, Andrew Denton (Melissa), Corey Denton (Kellee), Kristen Robey (Matt), Bobby Miles (Jenna), Tonya Miles (Kevin), Jarrett Moore, Travis Moore, Wesley Johnson, Robin “Nikki” Johnson, Cody Johnson, Steven Peña, Kathryn Peña-Wood (Timothy); great-grandchildren Kayla, Dylan, Yezinnia, Kandace, Jacob, Zakary, Ava, Amelia, Kameryn, Scarlett, Jake, Izzy, Ryleigh and Sydnee; sister Vicki Partridge and nieces Robin and Christi.

A memorial service will be held at Marana Mortuary, 12146 W Barnett Rd, Marana, AZ 85653 on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 11:00am in celebration of his life.

We were all so blessed to have had him in our lives and he will be missed dearly by those who loved him.
