In Memory of Hoyt Ward

Hoyt Ward, 85, of Tucson, passed away on Monday, August 3rd, 2020 surrounded by family. In his early years he excelled in bowling. He won numerous tournaments, awards, and many side pots during his bowling years. He also found joy in hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, playing cribbage, reading and watching his westerns. Hoyt was a drywall hanger in the construction field, retiring in 2000 as a Drywall Foreman. He was a volunteer with the Marana Food Share Program. He also enjoyed playing Bingo at the Marana Senior Center. He loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Hoyt was artistic and loved to share his drawings, origami, homemade Christmas decorations and adult coloring pictures with family and friends. He was a master at putting difficult jigsaw puzzles together and gluing them, making beautiful wall hangings for family. He joins the love of his life, Margaret Ward, who passed away August 7th, 2015. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia (Mark) Donahue, Carol (George) Robertson, Sheryl (Edward) Vergara; his son, Steven Ward; his grandchildren, Brian (Melissa), Nicholas (Robin), Shaun (Heather), Daniel (Jessica), Kimberly (Adonis), Kristen (Charles), Steven (Becky), and Edward; his great grandchildren, Trei, Madalynn, Chase, Keeleigh, Milla, Hayleigh, Brooklyn, Alaney, Declan, Madison, Kinsley, Parker, Riley, and Kellen; his siblings, Geneva, Raymond (Glenna), Henry, Bobby Dean, Loretta (Rob); his closest cousins, Loretta, Elaine, Annie, and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his father Albert, mother Stella and step mother Mildred; granddaughter Renee; and sister LaVita. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. At Hoyt’s request, no service will be held.
