Obituary

Kathryn Agnes Drewry

Born to Robert and Madeline Dean on November 9, 1949 in Paxton, Nebraska. Kathryn returned to the Lord Friday evening, April 29th, 2022 while surrounded by family at home.  Kathryn proudly served her country for four years in the United States Air Force.  Once her service was completed, she focused her attention on family and poured herself into her kids and as time went on her grandkids.  More than anything she loved being a grandmother.  She made sure that she was always at any event that was going on whether it be an awards assembly, sporting event or concert.  She also stepped in as grandmother for others that may not have had a grandparent around to do some of those grandparent things with.  As time went on and she could not physically attend those events she would have us video them and she would wait anxiously to watch them.  She would then sit with her grandchild, and they would watch it together.  She loved her family and loved them well.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Madeline Dean, her son, Phillip Mullen and her daughter Dennilyn Kocha.  She is survived by her daughter Bobbi (Sky) Merten, sons Chad (Veronica) Gygi and Patrick (Nicole) Gygi,by her stepdaughter Corie (Patrick) Heller and by twelve grandchildren; Rohland, Aryn, Ashlyn, Grace, Adam, Anya, Kayla, Robyn, Jacob, Owen, Judd and Tristan.  Services will be held at Foothills Community Church in Tucson, AZ at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 14th.
