Lowell Morgan came into the world on April 30th, 1953, the oldest son of Emory and Bertha Morgan in Ottawa, Kansas. Lowell Morgan left this world to pursue heavenly rough stock on June 10th, 2024. Lowell was one of six kids that grew up together on the Morgan farm. Many memories recounted of chasing and milking cows, stacking hay, working as a team to drive the tractors, helping their dad with all the farm chores, swimming in the cricks, and even the story of almost making it home with the skunk before they got sprayed.
Lowell was well known for his ability to recall dates and names from the memories accrued in his exciting life, especially if it involved his love of rodeo. Lowell served in the United States Air Force shortly after graduating high school and was honorably discharged after packing an unknown amount of parachutes. After serving, Lowell began his rodeoing career and stayed active in it, even past getting on his last bull at the age of 43. Along that path, he attended Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona where he was a part of the rodeo team. He transferred to the University of Arizona, earning his bachelors in Agricultural education, and went to the College National Finals Rodeo in 1982.
Lowell married Denise Kitterman in June of 1983 and became a father in February of 1984, having his third and final child June of 1988. Shortly after the third child Lowell and Denise were divorced and Lowell continued chasing his rodeo dreams while working a plethora of blue collar jobs, a mix of welding, construction, and over the road truck driving. Lowell had an innumerable number of acquaintances over the years, but kept very few true friends.
Everyone’s memories will cherish something a little different about Lowell and their interactions with him, but his children, Rachelle, Justin, and Jennifer will continue on knowing that their Dad loved them will all of his heart, from their conception until his passing. Lowell is survived by his three children and their mother, Denise Moor. Children: Rachelle Thomas (Jordan Thomas), Justin Morgan (Josie Morgan and sons Lincoln(3), Rhett(2)), Jennifer Campbell (Kyle Campbell and sons Hunter(10), Gunner(8), Ryker(5)), Sisters: Pat, Janice, and Carolyn, Brothers: Doyle and Linn.
Though Lowell has left this world, everyone can rest easy knowing that he is no longer in pain and making as many eight second rides as he wants in Heaven.
