Obituary

Manny Ray

Born September 21, 1982

In Heaven December 6, 2022

Manny Ray was truly one of a kind.  He was quite the jokester and had a sense of humor like no other.  He attended school in Phoenix, AZ where he excelled in academics.  He then attended Central High School his teenage years.  He loved to play baseball and was often names MVP of the Year.

In his later years he moved to Sierra Vista, AZ to work with a glass company which became his passion.  He soon found the love of his life and started a family.  Being the all-around person he was, he was hired on with Safelite Auto Glass and made this his career.

Manny Ray was a giving person and wore his heart on his sleeve.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at cookouts and gatherings with a very big appetite.  He had a one-of-a-kind love for food.  Wherever he went he always made friends and considered them like family.  He is loved by us all.  I will miss you forever brother, you left too soon.  Fly to Dad, Mijo.  Hug and kiss him for me too.  You will never be forgotten, the memories you left here with us we will hold close to our hearts.

Manny Ray was preceded in death by his Tata Sonny, Nana Betty;  and father, Manuel N. Martinez.

Manny Ray is survived by his Tata Quiroz, Nana Dolores; mother, Alma Quiroz; sisters, Taunya, Trisha, Marissa and Lorena; his son, Jacob Martinez; the boys, Mason and Gabe; the love of his life, Lara Gallagher; nieces, Araceli, Aaliyah and Ava; nephews, Michael, RJ, Adrian, Marcus, Esai, Sonny, Anthony and Ryan.

Services will be held on December 16, 2022 at St. Christopher Catholic Parish in Marana beginning with a rosary at 10:00 am and mass at 10:30am.  We will then proceed to the Marana Cemetery to the Rose Garden of Guadalupe where he will be laid to rest.  A Celebration of Life will be from 2:30pm  to 6:30 pm at the VFW Post 5990 in Marana, AZ.

Hi brother. I'm just thinking about you. And wanted to express how much I miss you . I wish I could speak to you one more time and hear your laugh. Jacob is doing well. He's playing baseball like you used to. And he is a clown always making me laugh, like you used to. Love you and one day I will see you again. ?
