It's been over a year cousin that you've been gone. The crosses you made for us still grace our walls here at home. May you rest in peace.

Our sincerest condolences, peace & comfort to my dear aunt Lola, cousin Frank, Mary & all of the Martinez families. My cousin Manuel aka "el Dotty" was a kind, soft spoken talented man. He so enjoyed creating his "blessed crosses." I always thought he took after my Daddy Mike, (his uncle's talent) for creating religious artwork. I will miss hearing his voice messages, reading his texts, receiving pictures of his latest artwork & pictures of the deer in his backyard. One of the crosses he made hangs on the wall. It will forever remind us of him & growing up "Martinez." He served his country, worked hard all his life. He was so close to his parents, brothers & sister, children & grandchildren & with Mary especially. We are saddened that he left us all too soon, however we take comfort knowing he now joins his Dad (our uncle Sonny), his brother David, sister Dianne, our grandparents Anita C. & Manuel R. Martinez, & all our aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives & friends gone before him. Rest in peace primo. May the angels welcome you through the gates of heaven as you have earned your wings. Say hi to my Daddy Mike for me.

Manuel will be missed but never forgotten. He was such a kind soul, always putting others before himself without expecting anything in return. I've known Manuel for 25+ years, We loved his humor, talents, selflessness and the friendship he shared to all he met. Manuel was a part of our family and we are so thankful and for the love and joy he gave my sister, Mary Lugo. She was his soulmate and love of his life. Always by each other's side, you never saw one without the other. I'll miss him saying " What up"? As he enters the room. Rest in Peace my friend, until we meet again. And rest assured we'll take care of your love, Mary.
