Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Rose Yvette (Pelletier) Boulay, who left this world on April 27, 2025, at her home in Red Rock, Arizona, at the age of 80. Born on May 11, 1944, in Frenchville, Maine, Marie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends.

Marie was the cherished daughter of Eddie Pelletier and Marie (Cyr) Pelletier. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of her family, which included her beloved siblings. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her brothers Adeline, Camille, George, Rosaire, Roland, and Claude Pelletier, as well as her sisters Lucille Pare, Cecile Mulherin, and Theresa Lavoie. Those who knew her will remember her as a kind-hearted soul who cherished her family, and she often spoke of the loving memories she shared with her siblings.

Marie found her soulmate in Edward Boulay Sr., to whom she was a devoted and loving wife. Together they built a beautiful family that she adored deeply. Marie is survived by her son, Lee Landry, and his wife Barbara, as well as her daughter, Sherry Briggs. Her legacy lives on through her grandson, Justin Landry, and step-granddaughter, Kali McNutt. She also leaves behind her loving stepsons, Eddie and Robert Boulay, who were all enriched by her nurturing spirit.

Marie dedicated 20 years of her life to her career at JC Penney, where her kindness and dedication left a lasting impression on her colleagues and customers alike. Outside of her work, she indulged in her passion for crafts, with a special fondness for diamond art, which allowed her to express her creativity and bring joy to those around her.

Marie’s family and friends will remember her as a beacon of light, someone who always found the good in every situation and shared her warmth with everyone she met. Her laughter was infectious, and her love was unconditional. She made it a point to celebrate the small joys in life, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.

In honor of Marie’s memory, a committal service will be held on October 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Marana, AZ. All are welcome to attend as we celebrate a life well-lived and the profound impact Marie had on so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the local Red Cross, an organization that was close to Marie’s heart and where she believed in the power of helping those in need.

Arrangements are being made by Marana Mortuary and Cemetery. Marie Rose Yvette (Pelletier) Boulay will be profoundly missed but never forgotten; her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
