Mary Roebuck
September 25, 1941 – September 6, 2025
Mary Roebuck, 83, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025. She was born on September 25, 1941, in Sacramento, California, to James and Eva Retta Crump, and grew up in Citrus Heights, where she embraced the joys of rural life. On the family farm, she learned responsibility early, helping to milk cows, feed chickens, and care for rabbits, dogs, and cats. She also enjoyed babysitting for neighbors and, most of all, loved dancing with her sister Janie.
Mary attended San Juan High School in Citrus Heights before building a life centered on faith, hard work, and family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she poured her energy into raising her children and supporting her community. She really enjoyed the years she lived in Saudi Arabia, where her husband was working. In her later years, she found joy serving as a school librarian in Tucson, sharing her love of books and learning with children.
Mary is survived by her sisters, Carol St. Martin and Judy Lang; her brother, Jay Crump; her daughters Donna Baucom, Sherri Langdon, Sandy Chilcott, and Susie Greiner; her sons Charles Roebuck Jr., David Roebuck, John Roebuck, and Buddy Roebuck; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love, strength, and dedication.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Roebuck Sr.; her parents, James and Eva Retta Crump; her brothers Arthur Crump, John Crump, and James Crump Jr.; her sister Janie McGuire; and her sons Keith Roebuck and Daniel Roebuck.
Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Marana Veterans Cemetery in Marana, Arizona, on November 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
Mary’s family will forever cherish her memory, her resilience, and the countless ways she touched their lives.
