She was predeceased by husband Leonard Alton, two sisters: Vera Britt of Kentucky and Versie Durbin of Gosport, Indiana., brother Winston Shrum of Kentucky, and granddaughter Cherie R. Boswell of Indianapolis.
She is survived by her brother Homer Shrum of Cloverdale, Indiana, son Wayne Boswell of Franklin, Indiana, daughter-in-law Mary Boswell of Indianapolis, daughter Sherry and her husband Thomas Lauer of Marana, Arizona, grandchildren Curtis and Michelle Boswell of Mooresville, Indiana, Jim and Carrie Shelton of Bargersville, Indiana, and Fred and Ashley Barnard of Queen Creek, Arizona, eight great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She is missed by everyone who knew her.
