First met Bob in the 6th Grade -- and -- we were very much like brothers the past 70 years. Remember his first Ford -- which was the vehicle for many a double date and triple date! His joy permeated always -- something to UP THE MOMENT. Will miss him as one of my closest connections to reality through life … a real DECENT percent -- with Both Feet on the Ground always. Also SPECIAL to me were his parents -- who were always close by with POSITIVE encouragement -- two GIANT people. His Mom taught us all how to play SPIN THE BOTTLE -- at the great age of twelve -- a REAL MARKER in my life -- THANK GOD for she and very few others who SAW A WAY to the Practical and REBUKED THE STUDY OF CLOUDS that never became too valuable -- if not only esoteric. THANK YOU to THE GUIDANCE of the Heyer Family long past as well as now to -- son Bob -- you were MEANINGFUL -- BRIGHTLIGHTS in the Darkness. Peace to those who follow the family tradition.
My sincerest condolences to Bob's family and friends.. Bob was a wonderful high school classmate of mine at Salpointe HS, Class of 1956. He frequently sent humorous emails of which I was a recipient. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved life. He will be missed. May he rest in peace for all eternity.
Dear Virginia: I have just learned of your brother’s passing and want to add my very sincere sympathy to you and your family. I remember Robert as a very tall, thin, young man, always teasing you while we were students at Salpointe. May he be at peace with the angels. Having lost my husband, Robert, just 18 months ago, I know what a trying time this is for all of you. I can only say, you never get over the loss, but it does get easier as time passes. You will be in my prayers. Sincerely, Dory Hawke (Dolores L. Pesek ‘59)
Bob and Mike Harris, my husband, were Salpointe classmates and Bob was always upbeat and positive to be with. I am saddened for his family and friends on his passing and no longer being able to enjoy being with him. May he rest in peace.....
While I have lost track of most of our graduating class, I am saddened by the news of Bob’s death. My heartfelt wishes go out to you, his family, at this difficult time.
The Salpointe Catholic High School community extends deepest sympathy to the Heyer family. You are in our prayers at this difficult time.
