Obituary

In Loving Memory of Rosemary Espinosa Pro Phininzy

November 14th, 1962 – May 30th, 2025

Rosemary was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. She was born in Los Angeles, California on November 14th, 1962 and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She unexpectedly passed away on May 30th, 2025 at the age of 62 and has left many hearts in sorrow. She was proud of her LA roots, deeply passionate about music, and cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Among her many talents, she will be fondly remembered for her creative spirit – transforming the house into a winter wonderland every Christmas, her passion for doing hair, and her love of cooking. Her tacos, in particular, were truly unforgettable. Known for her radiant smile and beautiful dimples, Rosemary had a warmth that lit up every room. Her generous spirit and kind heart touched all who knew her.

She now enters eternal rest, reunited with her beloved mother, Maria De Los Ángeles Acuña Pro Solís; father, Antonio Flores Espinosa; and siblings Norma (Carlos) Munguía, Irma López, and Ernesto Pro Solís.

Rosemary is lovingly remembered by her partner, Scott Barboa, her two children, Stephen (Clarissa) Phininzy and Alissa Phininzy-Delker; her cherished grandchildren, Antonio, Alexandria, Zanayah, and Ethan; and her siblings Tony (Blanca) Pro Corrales, Lina (Darrell) Hill, Edna Pro Espinosa, Raymond Pro Romero, and Danny (Bertha) Espinosa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Services will be held Friday, June 13th at 12:00 PM with a reception to follow at Marana Mortuary.

If you would like to send flowers, they can be delivered to the mortuary. She always loved the color purple, so arrangements in that shade would be a beautiful tribute to her memory.

I knew Rosie for 8 years. She became one of my best friends. The best memories I have are all of them. We never had a bad moment. We could sit and talk for hours about our kids, our spouses, and just life in general. There never seemed to be enough time to finish talking. She was there for me in some of my hardest times in life. I will miss her so very much. Until we meet again my friend. I will always keep you in my heart. Love you1

My prayers go out to Rosie's husband, family, and friends. She left a piece of her in everyone's heart. She will be dearly missed as she passes, but her memory will live on forever in every person she knew. She was a angel then and now. R.I.P. my dear friend.

My last good memory was on Thursday night before your passing. You, Marlo and I went to the Desert Diamond and played for awhile, then on our way home we joked and laughed all the way home. You dropped me off at my house early Friday morning, and that was the last time I seen you. I got a call Friday, late afternoon and was told about your passing
