Obituary

Karyn Darlene Rasor, 57, returned to her heavenly home on May 7, 2017 after battling complications following numerous health issues. Karyn’s devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Karyn was born to the late Virgil and Juanita Rasor, an Air Force Master Sergeant and a homemaker respectively, in Tucson, AZ in June of 1960. She was immersed in the Christian community that would be her support and her comfort. She was a leader in her church’s Jail and Prison Ministry, the Tucson Bridge Ministry and she taught Sunday School to her church’s children. She graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1978 where she was proud to be a Blue Devil.

Karyn was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend Donald Miller, on May 27, 2006 in Tucson, AZ. Karyn raised her two sons with patience, discipline and humility. She was so proud of her grandchildren and was thankful for every moment she got to share with them.

Besides being an incredible mother, Karyn was co-owner of Southwest Off-road Tours. A position she dearly loved, taking guests on tours of the Sonoran desert and educating them on the local culture and wildlife. She was kind and loved to laugh, always having time to talk to and love on any friend or family member that needed her. One of Karyn’s great passions and God-given gifts was her singing voice. She blessed many people throughout her life both in the church and out with her breathtaking vocals. No doubt, she is using that talent to glorify her creator, in His presence, at this time.

Karyn is survived by her husband, Donald; her sons Bruce Blachly and wife Melisa and Brady Rasor with his partner, Misty Englet; her grandchildren Trevor Blachly, Griffin Blachly, Jason Hoefer, Jaidyn Blachly, Raiden Rasor, Wyat Rasor and Kalisi Rasor and her sister, Kathleen Williams as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Danny Rasor; and her parents.

Karyn will be buried at the Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Marana at 12:00 noon on Monday, May 15, 2017, with a reception to follow at 3063 N. Conestoga Ave. Pastors John Beeson and Greg Lavine of New Life Bible Fellowship will officiate the service.
