Obituary

In loving memory of Leonard Marshall Bugey.

October 22, 1948 – March 1, 2023

 

 

Born October 22, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Leonard (Len) Marshall Bugey, Beloved Husband, Father, Poppy, Brother, Uncle, Godfather, and Friend, departed us on March 1st, 2023. Husband to Dorothy for over 51 years. Devoted father to Desire’e (Tim) Wible, Leonard Marshall Bugey, Jr (Ellie), and Alycya (Makaz) Bugey-Simmons. Loving Poppy to 6 grandchildren, TJ, Taylor, Drayden, Michael, Beckham, & Banner, that he adored with his whole heart. Godfather to James Bugey, Jr., and Velma (Brian) Edmonds. Brother to James Bugey and Patricia (Bugey) Nachbar of Pennsylvania. Len is missed by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley Bugey.

Len joined the United States Marine Corp in 1968. He was a proud Marine corporal who fought in the Vietnam War and was discharged in 1971. Len was a true and proud patriot through and through.

Len and his family moved to Tucson, AZ in 1990. He was a Real Estate broker before retirement.

Len enjoyed time with his family, fishing, traveling, cooking, and getting into trouble with his grandchildren, which he usually instigated.

A military honors funeral will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 10am at Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 15950 N Luckett Rd, Marana, AZ 85653. .

Though we will all miss “Poppy” immensely, we know he is now forever fishing with God!
