Obituary

Lenny Leroy Fountain, age 66, died in Vail, Arizona on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at home with loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lenny was born on August 18, 1955 in Lansing, Michigan to Lewis Fountain and Jean Marie Hosler.  He attended school in Remus, MI at Chippewa Hills.  Lenny spent his life as a carpenter, traveling North America beautifying the world with his skills and two hard-working hands.  He retired in 2017 from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 100 out of Coopersville, MI.  Lenny was happily married to Gina Marie Fountain, who was his partner in life for over 35 years at the time of his death.

Lenny is survived by his wife, Gina; children: Aaron, Crystal, Shane (Tara); grandchildren: Paige, Luke, Adan, Wyatt & Dawson.  He is also survived by 5 brothers and sisters: Larry (Jeanne Ann) Fountain, Luann Robinson, Lonna (Steve) Flachs, Lee Bob (Linda) Fountain and Layne (Kathy) Fountain; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Lenny was preceded in death by his father, Lewis; mother, Jean; sisters, Lynda Flachs and Lanette Pittenger; niece, Kristina Flachs; great-nephew, Andrew Vinton and Great-niece Kaylee Flachs.

Lenny will always be remembered by friends and loved ones by the sound of his deep voice, the generosity he showed to everyone and for his passion for life.  He was the life of the party!  Every day was his birthday!  Lenny was the man who would take the shirt off his back for anyone and would not expect a thing in return!  His legacy will live on through his family and the endless monuments he’s built.
