Obituary for Catherine Jane Kramer
Catherine Jane Kramer, 82, captain of her neighborhood watch, Arab horse jockey and stuntwoman, Pie Boss, and trekking master of all things in the Tortolitas, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. Fondly known as “Jane” to her friends, her family never heard her called “Catherine”. She adored driving, especially in the reverse gear in her Subaru. She often claimed she could drive as well backward as any man could drive his pickup forward. From sacking Power Packs for MUSD to packing and moving those in need with the Helping Hands group at her church, her years were a testament to a life of service in Marana, AZ. She is survived by a family to whom she passed along her wicked sense of humor and life-threatening frugality: her husband Woody of 58 years, eldest daughter Julia Golden, two sons Joel and Brett, nine grandkids and two great grandkids. To memorialize this darling spit-fire child of God, a Celebration of Life will be held on June 8th at New Life Fellowship on Cortaro Road at 9:00 am with a reception to follow. The celebration will be held in the outdoor courtyard so please dress comfortably for the weather (85 degrees). If you knew her, please come celebrate Jane with us in song and memories. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jane’s favorite charity, Heifer International, would be welcomed.

I will always remember the first time I met your mom and seeing immediately what a profoundly sweet and feisty lady she was. Her smile lit up the room, and I loved watching her dance! I will always remember her that way. Love to all who knew and loved her—I know she will be forever missed. God Bless her dear, kind, generous soul in Heaven. ❤️
Having met Jane through Marana Stockmen 4-H and her children, she was such a positive influence and I have to agree a spit fire. I am unable to attend her service, but Woody, Julia, Joel, and Brett you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I will always carry fond memories of your mom with me.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I pray God give you comfort.
I'm thinking of you Julia and your family at this time and always. RIP Jane. Hugs Julia.
