Fay Joyce Sita

 January 11, 1938 – August 12, 2022

 

Fay Joyce (Sands) Sita, 84, peacefully passed over on Friday, August 12, 2022.

Born in West Hamburg, Pennsylvania on January 11, 1938, she was the daughter of Christine M. Cramp and Harry L. Sands.  She was predeceased by her husband, Michael, in 2015.

She was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School and received degrees in special education and rehabilitation from the University of Arizona.  She worked as a counselor, vocational evaluator and rehabilitation specialist.

She is survived by her son, James Folk, Mohrsville, PA; her daughter, Kristy Kochenash, Reading, PA; and her son, Matthew Spurlin, Boulder, CO; seven grandchildren: Jason Kiwak, Bethel, PA; Vincent Folk, Tafton, PA; Sheena Folk, Wyomissing, PA; Nicole Lazarro, Scotch Plains, NJ; Tyler Kochenash, Lansdale, PA; Luca Spurlin, Boulder, CO; and May Spurlin, Boulder, CO; and ten great-grandchildren.

Fay loved world travel with family and friends.  She enjoyed staying in touch with her neighbors and was an active member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir.

The family would like to thank Accord Hospice Health Care of Show Low, Arizona for their loving care.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at St. Christopher Catholic Parish in Marana with Fr. Edson officiating and will include a rosary at 10:30 am and mass at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Marana Mortuary Cemetery at 12:00 pm.

My neighbor for many years in more ways than one. Though our lives have not been easy and we did not complain, it is amazing when people like Faye persist in goodness and faith despite all of the suffering and pain they endure. We had very long discussions and blessed times together, sharing the miracles and love God generously gave us.
