Obituary

Jose Jesus Hernandez, 53, passed away on August 23, 2024 at St. Joseph’s hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on November 10, 1970 in Port Hueneme/Oxnard, California to Maria Salazar and Jesus Hernandez. He moved to Tucson around 1985 and in 1988 met the love of his life through his best friend.  He married Veronica Angulo in 1990. Together they share children Joseph, Raymond, Ann-Janette and Matthew and grandchildren Dahlia, Azalea, and Romeo. Jose worked in sales for many years and impacted many lives through his career with his wisdom and sense of humor. He was always dancing, being silly and making people laugh. He enjoyed working on many projects. In his yard he built a chicken coop and was working on a vegetable garden and a tranquility garden. He was also working on restoring a classic suburban and a 1980s traveling van. Jose’s faith in God was very important to him and how he lived his daily life. He would speak of Gods word to anyone who would listen. He loved spending time with his family, especially gathering everyone to watch a movie together. He was always trying to lend a helping hand or give great advice. This unexpected loss is a tragedy to his loved ones and he will be forever missed.

Brother. You will greatly be missed by so many. I can’t believe how soon you left us but I do believe that you’re in a better place with our Lord and Savior. I’m very honored and grateful to have you for 53 wonderful years. I remember most of our lives together as we were growing up you and Jesus were always close. As far as I remember we had a wonderful relationship. I was very blessed to have you as a lil but older brother. Always there for all of us and advising us to keep doing the right things and to get close to our Heavenly Father. I always thank you and say I love you. I will always keep you in my prayers and heart brother. I miss you. Love always until we meet again. Love always your sis Rosa Brown 💙🌹🕊️🥰🙏😇

I will miss you primo, you had just turned 6 years old when I met you for the first time, and I will never forget you. We used to dance in my Tía’s (your mom) living room, you always laughed at my chubby feet and made fun of them, after so many years we had very nice conversations, you sold me a car in 2016, it was always a pleasure doing business with you, my kids loved you and they loved the talks you had with them, always talking about the Lord and they loved your knowledge of the word (bible) I also remember of Tom and Jerry cartoons, they were one of our favorites, such a very special person with everyone, I’m sure you are now rejoicing with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ , love you 🕊️ Matthew 25:23 says, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord".

My deepest condolences to Veronica and my nice and nephews. My brother was a big part of my life. He was not just a roll model and a good respected loving big brother but he was selfless, he put everyone else’s needs before his own. I respected him as a big part of my life, I asked him to walk me down the aisle. He accepted with a big smile and surprised. I will forever have you in my heart, as we never had a disagreement or an argument. The bond we had was amazing ! I am proud to have you as my big brother and will always cherish every moment that we had together and our phone calls and miss your Chilly Willy song to me. I love you brother and I will forever carry you in my heart 🤍 I love you your Chilly Willy 🤍🕊️
