Our father, Alfred R. Vargas age 88, passed away February 9, 2024. Dad was born January 22, 1936 in Yorktown TX.
Dad enjoyed time on camping and fishing trips with his Family. Dad was in the Mining Industry for 42 years.
Dad is survived by his wife Linda, who he married in 1955 on Christmas Eve. Dad is survived by seven children, son Freddy Vargas, daughter Anna Contreras, daughter Marcella Vargas, daughter Patricia (Ron) Felix, son David Vargas, son Larry (Miros) Vargas, daughter Rozalinda Vargas. Dad has 16 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren and many more friends and family. Dad is also survived by his sister Della (Bob) Pesqueira, brother Felix Vargas and sister Rosemary (Ernie) Garcia.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial will be held for Dad on March 7, 2024 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 at 801 N. Grande Ave, Tucson AZ.
Inurnment to follow at 12:00 at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson.
