Berenda Cullins Crellin, Beloved Teacher, age 78, passed away December 10th, 2015. Owner and Director of ACT Theatrical and Modeling Agency. Owner and Director of Tom Thumb Players, a premier acting school for children. In her lifetime Berenda directed, produced and marketed over 300 theatrical productions. Berenda touched many lives as a teacher. Multiple special education classrooms through-out Southern Arizona were recently graced with her professionalism and dedication. Highlights of her teaching career include starting the Theatrical Arts program at Utterback Jr. High (1981-86) and teaching high school at and living on the Indian reservation in Sells, AZ. Berenda loved the beach and the mountains. She was able to go on two road trips recently. One was raucous trip to the ocean with her grandson Kyle. Then on a recent road trip with her friend Maryanne to the White Mountains she ended up buying a beautiful painting of the aspens changing which she gazed longingly upon in her last days. She is survived by her daughters Jada (Ahern) and Jennifer (O’Brien), 4 grandchildren (Brenna, James, Kyle and Meghan) and 3 great grandchildren (Blaze, Carson and Cliff). A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Francis in Foothills UMC, Monday December 21, at 1pm. Donations may be made in Berenda’s name to Casa De Los Niños. Arrangements by Marana Mortuary.
