Charles enlisted in the Air Force in 1955, serving his country with honor at various stations including Florida, New Mexico, Okinawa, Virginia, Texas, and Arizona. His distinguished service included a notable tour in Vietnam. He retired in 1975 after 20 years of dedicated service. Even after his retirement, Charles continued to share his expertise in airplane maintenance during his time with Boeing in Saudi Arabia.
Charles’s life was a testament to his boundless generosity and devotion to family. He had three children with his first wife, Hazel—Donna, Chuck, and Keith. Later, he found love again with Mary, who had five children of her own—David, Sherri, Sandy, Danny, and Susie. Charles embraced Mary’s children as his own, and together they had another son, John. Charles also adopted and raised one of his grandchildren, Buddy, further exemplifying his open-hearted nature.
In addition to his immediate family, Charles was a proud and active member of the VFW, American Legion, Shriners, and Masons, contributing to numerous causes and touching countless lives throughout his journey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emma Roebuck; three brothers, Bobby Roebuck, Ronny Roebuck, and Henry Peden; one sister, Martha Estes; and two sons, Keith Roebuck and Danny Roebuck.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his brother, Larry Roebuck; and his children Donna, Charles Jr., David, Sherri, Sandy, Susie, John, and Buddy, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
