Obituary

“Nobody puts baby in the corner!”

Delcia H. Sandoval, age 66, was born in Nogales, Arizona on January 13, 1952.  She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving husband and children on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.

Mom was our #1 cheerleader!  A loving wife, mother, nana, teacher and amazing woman.  Mom loved everyone and always saw the best in everybody. She loved spending time in her garden, planting random seeds she would get from everywhere, picking limes & fruit and her chiltepines.  Mom was always excited to start crafts. Traditions were big for mom, family gatherings, making tamales, and celebrating life.

Delcia is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Francisco F. Sandoval, son Francisco M. Sandoval (Lupita), daughters Frances Monreal (Josue), Luz Acosta (Eduardo) and Angela Biddle (Donald).  She is also survived by her beautiful grandchildren, Alexia, Larissa (husband Prayash), Anissa, Christian, Josuecito, Isaiah, Xavier, Noah and Luzmaria.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018.  Mass service at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 601 E. Fort Lowell Rd., Tucson, Arizona, 85705.  Immediately following the service, please join us to share stories, food and shenanigans @ 6891 S. Benedetti Ct., Tucson, Arizona, 85756.

Luz my dear Friend, I pray the Lord has given you and continues to give you peace and understanding. You were an amazing daughter and stood by her side every step of the way. LUZ you are just that as the definition of your name "LUZ" you were and have been that "LIGHT" to your mom in her darkest moments just as you are to those who surround you. You light up others when we've felt down and in darkness, with your loving kind ways. You are a beautiful soul and please know that im here for you at anytime needed. I read a statement to one of your pictures of your Mom. It was in the lines of saying.... " MOM LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT YOU" I would like to say that YOU ARE RIGHT! It will never be the same. Its been 12yrs for me and it seems like maybe 4-5yrs. I still to this day find myself needing that love and comfort that unconditional love we mothers give our children. I still miss her so much but all I have to do is remember how much she suffered and that is enough to help console myself and understand that she deserved to finally be pain free of any type of pain. She is finally at peace which she had endured so much pain through out her life. My dear friend when you find yourself feeling weak, alone or scared, my advice to you is PRAYER and if you feel the need to talk to your mama, do so. It always helps me feel better. I've always believed in prayer but in the past 3 years it was all I had, when I felt so alone and no one to talk to i PRAYED WITH so much faith and he has showed me that I can count on him. He listened and helped me get back up when I felt it was all lost. Its amazing how it will help you feel at ease. God Bless you all, in particular your sisters and your dad. I will keep you all in prayer. Your friend & sister in Jesus Christ, Judy
