Obituary

Erwin M. Johnson passed away Easter weekend at the age of 93.  Born 12/29/30 in the small town of Galesburg, Illinois.  There he attended Knox college before packing up and shoveling the snow for the last time to get his car out and came to Tucson.  He majored in business at the U of A and was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity.  He then went into a long career in the real estate and apartment business.  He was a founder of The Tucson Sailing Club and enjoyed his sailboat in San Diego for many years.  Erwin was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He enjoyed socializing with his friends at the Tucson Country Club and Sunday dinners with his family.

Erwin is preceded in death by his first wife, Avalon and survived by his wife Martha, Son’s Kip (Chris) and Greg (Sue), daughters Sandra (Cliff) and Andrea (Dave) and grandchildren Janey and Beth.

Martha, Dave and I are thinking of you and wish you all the love and support at this time. One of things that I loved so much from Erwin was his quiet way of assuring me, when I was so worried about something going on in my life. So many people whose lives were touched by him, will surely miss him. Take care, I'll be in touch, Andrea

Dearest Martha, I am so very sorry to hear of Irwins passing. Although I never met Irwin, you spoke so highly of him, I felt I knew him. It comforts me to know you have your family and friends to lean on during this sad time. My thoughts and prayers are with you & your family. Sincerely, Barbara Curd
