Obituary

Floyd Lee White, 71 of Vail, Arizona went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Banner Hospital following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Floyd Lee was born on January 1, 1953 in Elkhart, Kansas to Floyd and Alma Lou (Salmon) White. He married the love of his life, Gayle Webster twice. The first and official ceremony was at the courthouse in Tucson, Arizona on June 30, 2006. The second ceremony, which was for family members and friends to attend, was on September 2, 2006.Floyd Lee was an avid outdoorsman, all around cowboy, cattle rancher and animal lover. Floyd was raised in Morton County, Kansas and later moved to Oklahoma where he graduated from Keyes High School.  Floyd spent many years working in feedlots in Southwest Kansas before moving to Arizona where he worked for over 25 years. He worked for the University of Arizona ranch, Arizona Game and Fish and then Pima County working the A7 and Bar V ranches as a ranch manager managing a cow/calf operation. Floyd loved listening to the Bible on tape and most important of all, he loved and served the Lord.Floyd Lee was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Gayle of Vail, AZ; his son Charles White (Courtney) of Guymon, OK; his daughter Michele Dewell (Richie) of Fowler, KS; his stepsons Josh Webster (Stacey) of Castlerock, CO and Clayton Webster of Mesa, AZ.; and his stepdaughter Melissa Reeves (Jeff) of Picture Rocks, AZ.  He is also survived by his sisters Alma Fay Twyman (Wayne) of Boise City, OK; Lavina Adams (Kelly) of Akron, PA; and Shirley Johnson (Larry) of Norman, OK. He also was blessed with 8 grandchildren Ethan White, Emily White, Kenzie Jones, Brayton Dewell, Kiersten Bococcini, Dillon Bococcini, Zane Bococcini and Elowine Webster and 1 great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral Service will be Monday, January 15, 2024 at 12:30 pm at Bar V Ranch 16901 S. Old Sonoita Hwy, Vail, AZ 85641Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:00 am at The Elkhart Church of the Nazarene, Elkhart, KS 67950 with interment following at Elkhart Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made payable to Gideons International or YouVersion in care of Weeks Family Funeral Home & Crematory, PO Box 1200, Sublette, KS 67877.   Condolences may be left at WeeksFamilyFuneralHome.com
