Obituary

Haley May Madden was born to Linda Jones and Clint Shuck in Sierra Vista, AZ on June 13, 1992, and was taken from her loving family far too soon when she died peacefully in her sleep due to complications from sleep apnea in her home on January 18, 2025 in Marana, AZ.

From the moment Haley was born, she made the days brighter for all that knew her. If you knew Haley, you loved her. And if you didn’t love Haley, there’s probably something wrong with you.

Haley became a part of so many families lives, including the Jones family, the Shuck family, the Madden family, and the Gallo family. However, the most important family was the one she created with the love of her life, Vincent Lee. Haley met Vincent 10 years ago, and though Haley loved Vincent more than anyone on this earth, she probably loved his daughter Jayla (Jasper) just a teensy bit more. Haley and Vincent married in a small, private ceremony on March 23, 2023 (if you know Haley, you know she loved number patterns), and again in a larger ceremony 2 days later in front of so many of their family and friends. She was an extraordinary person, who never asked for anything but to be loved and appreciated, so when she said she wanted to be a little extra and have two weddings, we made sure she got them.

Haley was such a special person. She was beautiful, smart, so very kind and loving, was very artistic and crafty, and was absolutely hilarious! Haley adored children. She became a second Mom to Jasper when she married Vincent, and was also a second Mom to her niece Ava, who she absolutely adored. (As a toddler, her niece Noellah insisted on calling her “Uncle Haley,” to which Haley responded by calling Noellah “Nephew.”) Haley could also never resist showing kindness to an animal.

Since Haley was a part of so many families, I’m going to do my best with this next part.

Haley was preceded in death by her natural father Clint Shuck, her uncle Brett Shuck, her grandmother Pat Shuck, and her honorary aunt Julie Benavidez.

Haley is survived by her very loving husband Vincent Lee, their daughter Jayla (Jasper) Hightower, her heartbroken mother and step-father Linda and Robert Gallo, her sister and biggest protector Chloe Madden, her grandmother Norma Jones, her grandfather Richard (Mary) Russell, her uncle Jason (Leann) Jones (Taylor, Alex, and Gage), her aunt Dwanna (Karll) Wacker (Kenneth, Christopher, Thomas, Madison, and Pamela) her great-grandfather Bob Shuk, her grandparents Bob and Jane Shuck, her beloved aunt Tracy (Dave) Smith (Kacy, Derrick, Sidney Lane, and Trinity), her uncle Bobby Shuck (Levi), her sisters Patricia Becerra and Charlotte Shuck (and their beautiful children), her brother Brett Shuck, her father Stephen (Emily) Madden, grandparents Fred and Bridget Madden, her aunt Nikki Madden (Lia and Jenna), Alberto and Josephine Gallo, Monica Gallo, her wonderfully supporting in-laws Rodney and Patt Darrow and Sam Darrow, her honorary aunt Valerie (Steve) Jones, honorary uncle Heath Brock, honorary cousins Courtney Borquez, Audrey Yossem, and Ireland Brock, her lifelong friends Melinda Rodriguez, Jamie Shaeffer, and Betsy Mena and so, so many more aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Haley was an organ donor, so Vincent and her mother donated her beautiful big green eyes in the hopes that one day we will see them looking back at us again.

When you think of Haley, please picture her and the little baby girl she lost in a field of wild flowers that the other fairies and pixies call home.

They won’t know until after I’ve submitted this for publication, but a GoFundMe has been set up for Vincent and Jasper at https://gofund.me/75440d30, or cash/check donations can be sent to: Vincent Lee c/o Patt Darrow at 9709 E. Paseo San Ardo, Tucson, AZ 85747.

I’m at a loss for words to express my sorrow for your loss. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain that no one should ever have to go through. I’m here for you my friend, and I hope you find some comfort in knowing you’re not alone. I stand with you and your family in this dark time. I never had the pleasure of meeting Haley, but it feels as if I’ve known her through you, Linda. Thank you for sharing the beautiful memories and sharing her life with me.
