Katherine Gail Rauh, 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long and difficult battle against Dementia on November 17, 2023 in Tucson, Arizona.
Kathy was born in Tucson, Arizona on August 17, 1952 to William and Aline (Main) Rauh. She is survived by; daughter, Jessica Taylen (John), and Son, Brian Sheibels (Dawn). Kathy was blessed with 12 grandchildren, who she enjoyed and loved so very much! Sisters; Patsy Reynolds, Clara Smith, and Inga Beavers. Several loving nieces and nephews. Kathy is predeceased by her brothers, William Rauh Jr., and Robert Rauh.
Kathy, the youngest of six siblings, was raised in a loving and hard working home. Her father William “Bill” owned Wilson’s Bakery, which Kathy enjoyed helping out at as a child and working at as a teenager. She attended Grace Lutheran Church and graduated from Tucson High School in 1970. In 1973, she met Albert Sheibels, her first husband and was married in 1974. Kathy attended Pima Community College and graduated with an Associates degree in the dental field. After working over a decade with Dr. Barber DDS, she went on to receive numerous certifications and worked with several other fantastic dentists in the Tucson area.
Shortly after the birth of her first grandchild, Kathy retired from the dental profession to spend more time with her grandchildren and pursue other professional endeavors. Kathy became an owner of several businesses from home cleaning to construction surveying. Kathy retired in 2012 and enjoyed living her best life spending time with her children, grandchildren and extended family.
The family would like to thank Park Senior Villas, Casa De La Luz Palliative and Hospice care, the numerous Doctors, Nurses and Nursing Aides for their loving care in Moms’ last years.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 11:00 am in Tucson, Arizona.
