Marie Bernadette Conti passed on December 4, 2019 after a thirteen-month battle with pancreatic cancer in Tucson, Arizona, while surrounded by her family and friends.
Marie was born to William and Joanne Armstrong in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of California Riverside in 1980 with a degree in Economics. She met her husband, Michael Conti, while on a graduation trip to Germany. The two married in 1982 and raised two children, Natasha and Kathleen. During her 25 years in Tucson, Marie was a Sunday school teacher in her church and a lay spiritual volunteer at a skilled nursing facility. She also served with several charities to benefit disadvantaged children, including as director of Arizona Heart Gallery. She was passionate about her faith, family, children in foster care, rescue dogs, painting, desert gardening, and growing orchids.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, her daughters and granddaughter, her step-parents, siblings, and several nieces and nephews.
