OBITUARY
Monica Suski Yoshimura-Quintana
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Monica Suski Yoshimura-Quintana, 78, passed away on May 26th 2023 in Tucson. Monica was born in Chicago and spent most of her childhood in Phoenix. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and initially worked as a Probation Officer for the Pima County Juvenile Probation Department. She later worked over twenty-four years at Pretrial Services as a Case Manager for the Arizona Superior Court In Pima County. It was through her work that she met her future husband, Daniel and became a great team member in the Supervision and Investigation Unit.
Monica enjoyed attacking Sudoku puzzles, taking pottery classes with her husband Dan, and showing their American Kennel Club Bassett Hound, Absinthe Kit Walker “Junior” and was Award the Best of Breed Bassett Hound, in New Mexico and Arizona.
Monica is preceded in death by her mother, Clara Yoshimura and father Joe Yoshimura. She is survived by her husband Daniel Yoshimura-Quintana, sister Ellen Yoshimura, brother Mark Yoshimura, niece Dana, and nephews Stephen, Scott, Dustin, Taylor, and Taj. Monica , sister in law Pilar , and brother in law Louis . will always be missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of Monica’s life and a green burial service will be held on June 10th, 2023, 1:30pm at the Marana Mortuary Cemetery. 12146 W. Barnett Rd. Marana, AZ 85653. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to azbassetrescue.org or muttville.org.

Monica was one of a kind. She had the best work ethic and demonstrated true compassion for the population she served. I learned a lot from her in the workplace. She was very well respected and I truly admired her. I appreciated her honesty, loyalty and friendship. Until we meet again my friend.
