Peggy Veeder, 60, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her family, June 25, 2020.
Peggy was a devout Christian, dedicated Mom, Loving Wife, Caring Sister and a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
She was preceded in death by her parents Vernice Miller and Clyde Sunday, her brother Paul Sunday and sister Judy Brewer.
Peggy is survived by her husband Ken of 38 years, two sons James and Bradley and her sisters, Katheryn Cole and Jane Bohannon.
Peggy was born in Quincy Florida, May 4, 1960. After graduating from high school, she enlisted into the United States Air Force and became an aircraft electrician. This is where she also met her husband Ken. After separating from the US Air Force, she followed her husband around the country to different assignments. After attending several different colleges, Peggy decided to become a teacher. She graduated from Cameron University in Lawton Oklahoma.
Upon settling down in Tucson Arizona, Peggy began working as a teacher starting at Marana Unified School District and finishing at Red Rock Unified School District where she retired in 2019. She loved to teach and loved the children she taught as much as she loved her two sons.
Peggy was a Godly woman who loved Jesus. She was involved in the Woman’s Ministry at Grace Covenant Church in Oro Valley. She loved bible studies and worshiping the Lord and especially the fellowship with her church family and friends.
Peggy’s kindness and generosity were always evident. She never hesitated to try and give hope and encouragement where needed and was always present with a smile and love for friends, family and strangers. Her heart was filled with hope for the future of her children and encouraged them to always be their best and to be loving and kind along the way.
Peggy will be dearly missed as she was the center and warmth of our family.

I thank you Peggy for showing me the light of Jesus every time I saw you. I know where you are. I know Jesus is so happy to have you with him. I can only imagine the dancing you are doing. I know you also had a wonderful role model in your sweet mother in law, Caroline, who also shines Jesus' love everywhere she is. God bless and God comfort your family in this time. We will see you again. You are a blessing that will shine in my heart forever,
Peggy will be missed indeed. She was a true prayer warrior and she fought a hard fight against cancer, all while maintaining a deep faith. She constantly brought me joy and hope and was a model of true christian faith. I will miss her love, faith and smile. Veeder family, may God hold you up and strengthen you during your time of loss.

Peggy used to pray for me, and I have been praying for her over the last year or so. I'm sorry she is gone from your lives here, but so glad she is past the painful time and with her Lord.
Peggy was one of the most faithful Christ followers I’ve ever known. Her faith exuded from her like the huge smile always on her face. She was always concerned for others, especially her family. I loved watching her praising during church worship. Now she’s singing and praising her Savior! Our condolences to all of the family. Praying peace for you! Love, Jean and Matt Gibson
Peggy was a true prayer warrior. She always inspired me with her heartfelt prayers to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her testimony and faithfulness will live on in those who remember her. Heartfelt prayers for her husband, Ken, her two sons, James and Bradley and her mother-in-law, Caroline. May they be comforted by the many kind words of those who also loved her. Joan/Todd Wildermuth
To Ken, James, Bradley, and Momma. I'm so sorry for your loss. Of course you knew her character of a worrier, and how faithful she was to the church. To me she was a friend we shared stories of pain, loss, deception, victories, and hopes. We were the same in many ways, except, she was a stronger woman than I was, in spite of her self confessed life mistakes. Her smile and honesty was refreshing to me. I'm so sorry you won't see that on a daily basis anymore. Please do not hide your pain, and let faith rise above your circumstances. Try. She did it. I hope you can also. Such a glue she was. Her departure is her win, but our loss. I don't know about you, but I don't deal too well with loss. I won't forget to keep you all in my heart and prayers. I love you all. I love you, Peggy!
Peggy loved her Savior with her whole heart, soul and mind and demonstrated love to her neighbors. As many have attested she was a faithful prayer warrior and loved worshipping God. We will miss her sweet smile and loving heart. We are praying for all of you during this difficult time. Much love, The Croyle Family
Our hearts hurt for the family. She was such a warrior in her fight against cancer, but even more as a prayer warrior! Her faith was so much a part of who she was and her smile lit up the room with the confidence in her Lord.

Though we did not get to know her well, we could see how Peggy was such a beautiful person, and it was obvious how much she loved her family and Jesus. We are praying for peace for you, her family, and for resting in the hope that you will see her again.
Peggy invited me to Bible Study at her mother in law and father in law’s house and that was a special time, I recall!! She was sweet and friendly to me at church at Grace Community. I will miss her!!
We are so very sorry about Peggy's passing. A beautiful life ended much too soon, and a heartbreaking loss for so many. We will always remember her lovely smile, and how Uncle/Grandpa Art called her his "Georgia Peach." Thinking of you, Ken, James, Bradley, Caroline and all who loved her, Love and prayers, Chris & Margie (Laughbaum) Sande
I had the pleasure of working with Peggy at Marana Middle School. I appreciate her friendship and her caring demeanor. She will be missed!
Peggy was a wonderful person - through and through! I enjoyed working with her at Marana Middle School. She was always so upbeat, had a smile on her face and such a positive outlook on life! I am sure she had a very important influence on the many students she came into contact with! I enjoyed our lunch time chats and talking about what our sons were up to. Peggy Veeder... precious friend... always positive .. prayer warrior... loved her...
Peggy was a beautiful soul who truly cared that you too knew the Lord. We had many conversations about our faith and I appreciated when she would pray for me. She had a deep sense of humor and smiling laughter that I loved the most about her. Tonight my dear friend you will be in my prayers. “Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu Melech Ha’Olam” Blessed is the Lord our G-d. May He hold you in His arms and bestow upon you the many blessings you have earned.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember grading papers with Peggy and just enjoying working with her so much. Love and prayers to you all.
Dear family, When I think of Peggy the word ‘warrior’ comes to my mind. She bravely fought the cancer destroying her body. Peggy did this with the strong hope she had in Jesus. You might think she lost the battle but she really won the war. Her faithful confidence in Jesus was evident in such beautiful ways and as an example to me and all those around her. Now she has finally arrived at her real home. Oh, the pain of losing such a precious lady that you are experiencing will be there for a long time and never completely go away. May in your grief you turn to the same hope Peggy had in Jesus. Lovingly, Julie
My heart aches for the family. Peggy was a guiding light in her belief and confidence in God. I loved her dearly.

I'm so sorry for your loss! May God continue to give you strength and peace. While we know that Peggy is now with her beloved Lord Jesus and is no longer suffering, we are sad that she is gone. I got to know Peggy when I was on home assignment from Ecuador and visited Grace. Peace to her memory.
I tell you what, coming up on Peggy in the hallways of Marana Middle School always set a smile on my face and heart because I knew I would have a nice conversation with her that would involve either understanding and/or humor. This continued when we would run into each other on occasion in the Marana community. I just found it easy with her and I’m saddened for her loved ones who will surely be missing her every day and will have them in my prayers.
Dave and I will cherish all the memories we have with Peggy. Peggy was an amazingly strong women. a great friend, and a child of God. Although, this is a very hard time for all the family and the friends that love her. We will continue to carry her in our hearts for the rest of ours lives. Peggy has left her mark and her path for us all. God Bless her and I will miss her.
I remember when we first started at Grace Community Church I saw Peggy stand up and pray at the first meeting we went to. I was so impressed with her poise and confidence and prayer, that I asked my neighbor who that was. They told me she was our greatest prayer warrior at Grace. So true. Peggy was always the first to pray and offer words of love and support, always so supportive of our prayer team and wanting to pray for us. Her spirit lit up the room wherever she went. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Much love to the family, love Paul and Rebecca Morin
