Obituary

Peter Brian Cunningham was born on January 2nd, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA and passed away on March 30, 2024 in Tucson, AZ.

Peter is survived by his loving wife Alma, cherished his step children Travis and Tatianna, devoted brothers David and Steven, and dear sisters Julie and Helen. He was predeceased by his parents Martin and Marianne, as well as his siblings Martin, Michael, and Susan.

Peter made Tucson his home for the past 22 years and developed a deep affection for the desert. It was here that he crossed paths with the love of his life, Alma. They shared eight beautiful years together, and their commitment to each other was sealed in marriage for the last 5 years.

Peter held a special place in the hearts of numerous church communities, including Zion and Picacho Peak RV Park. His dedication to his Bible study students at the Green Church of Tucson, where he and Alma were recently ordained, was truly commendable. They had just begun their mission of opening the church’s doors to provide Bible Study to the wider community.

Known for his warm and welcoming personality, Peter formed lifelong bonds with countless friends. His unique sense of humor and quick wit never failed to bring joy and laughter to those around him.

Beyond his vibrant character, Peter was a visionary entrepreneur who consistently sought out new opportunities. Music was a natural talent of his, evident from his early days playing the electric guitar in school to later becoming an exceptional percussionist.

Please join us in celebrating the remarkable life of Peter Cunningham, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. His memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The event will take place on April 20th at 1:00 pm at :

Known Peter since elementary grade school, he was always witty, intelligent and fun to be around. He had countless talents and skills and enjoyed sharing them with everyone. His sense of humor and world outlook has been a pleasure to be a part of. I can think of a hundred stories about the times with Peter that make me smile. He will be missed dearly.

I am one the many people that had the honor to have Peter in my life but sadly it was for a short time. This great man had so many words of wisdom to give to the people of this world. Sadly I had so much more to learn from him Peter in the short time I had with him gave me so much great advice and was helping me with the worst troubles in my life and in that short time he saved me from myself the world has lost one of the greatest men I have ever had the privilege of meeting it is so sad and weighs heavy on my heart that he is gone but as everyone know Peter has earned his place next to our Lord I wish I had more time he will be sadly missed by all that knew him I hope he will continue to guide me even tho he is in heaven. You will be missed thank you for all you have givin me

Dear Alma and Family. I am so sorry for your loss. I know Peter through his studies and excitement about the Nurtured Heart Approach which I know he empowered by his great heart and spirit. He cared so deeply about uplifting and inspiring so many in need and he made that a prime mission of his beautiful life. He had a great empowered and empowering spirit. To the greatness of Peter Cunningham.

Alma and family, Our deepest condolences for the loss of such a caring and dedicated man to God and his family. I was very blessed to become good friends with you both and invited to your Bible studies. Peter was very committed and passionate about spreading God's word which I admired. He will be missed but ALWAYS remembered. Keeping you and your family in my prayers.
