Peter Henley Searby, 91, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on February 13, 2023. He was born on March 3, 1931 to Donald Martin Searby and Maryanna Spencer Mount in Sebastopol, California. His grandson Adam Vespoli and his siblings, Robert, Thomas, William, Carolyn, Rodney, Donald and Frank all predeceased him. He graduated from San Francisco State University and joined the United States Air Force in September 1955. He married Mary Joan Eaton (Jody) on September 6, 1952. His career as an officer took him many places in the world serving his country. He was the father to four children, Marianne born March 1955, Susan born October 1956, Elizabeth (Betsy) born May 1959 and Nancy born June 1962. Peter was an accomplished musician, loved the game of golf, and had a great sense of humor. Most importantly, he loved his family and left an amazing legacy starting with his daughters and continuing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will endure through the generations. He is survived by his wife, Jody, of 70 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Marianne, her husband, James, his grandson, Andrew and his granddaughter, Claire. He is also survived by his daughter Susan, his grandson, David, great-grandson, Anthony, great-great grandson, Liam, and great-grandson, Ryan, granddaughter, Kate and great-granddaughter Molly. He is also survived by his daughter, Betsy, her husband, Greg, his granddaughter, Allison (Kyle Halvorson), great-granddaughter, Delilah, and his grandson, Scott (Molly). Lastly, he is survived by his daughter, Nancy, her husband, Mike, granddaughter, Kathryn (Gabe Toberman), grandson, Nathan and grandson, Christopher. A memorial service will be held on March 31 at 10:00am at the Marana Mortuary, 12146 West Barnett Rd, Marana, Arizona followed by burial at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 12 noon. We invite anyone who knew him to attend and remember, honor and celebrate his life.
