Obituary

Rodney “Rod” O’Dell Davis was born on February 26, 1965 and departed from this world on March 29, 2024, as a result of a heart attack.

Rod was the beloved husband of JessCia (Nightingale) Davis, with whom he shared a bond that was truly special. In their ten years together, their love was evident to all who knew them, and Rod’s devotion to JessCia was unwavering throughout their time together.

Son of the late Joseph “Joe” Davis and Mina Davis, Rod’s upbringing instilled in him values of honesty, generosity, and loyalty, and he did his best to live those values in lending support to those in need.

Rod was a firefighter, paramedic, and truck driver. He found fulfillment in his selfless serving of others. His values were lived out in those times when he dropped everything to support his wife in her times of sickness.

In addition to his wife, JessCia, Rod is survived by his sister Nina Bland of Sierra Vista, Arizona, his son Rodney Davis Jr. of Tucson, Arizona, Cami Renee, whom he took in as a daughter, as well as many other uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rod’s love for life was infectious, and he had a special talent for bringing laughter to those around him. His fondness for spending time with friends and family, sharing stories and jokes or just visiting together, created cherished memories.

A celebration of Rodney’s life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will come together to honor his memory and share stories of the incredible man he was.
