Thomas L Bermingham, 76, of Marana AZ went home to be with Jesus
on October 9, 2021. Tom moved to Marana in 2019 from Chino Valley,
AZ, where he resided for several years. Prior to moving to AZ, Tom
lived in Nebraska and Wyoming.
Tom was born on July 27, 1945, in Gordon, NE the oldest son of
Francis and Doris (Keller) Bermingham. Tom’s heart was always in the
Sandhills of Nebraska, where his grandparents homesteaded. He
graduated from Gordon High School in 1963, then joined the Navy in
1965 with an honorable discharge in 1968. He loved the opportunity to
serve his country. He would often share stories about his time spent
traveling and working as a Machinist Mate on the USS Ranger. In May
1992, he graduated from Chadron State College with a BA in Business.
He was baptized and became a member of the Prescott congregation
of the Church of Christ on March 9, 2019. As a member of Christ’s
church, he joined the congregation at Marana Church of Christ, when
he moved to the area. His love for the Lord was strong.
Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time in the Sandhills of
Nebraska. He often talked about working on the family ranch with fond
memories, including the smell of fresh cut hay in the summer and the
smell of fresh rain as it fell on the grass.
He loved his wife and family. He is survived by his wife Cathy, children,
grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with his brother and
sister-in-law, nieces and nephews and multiple cousins.
He will be dearly missed.
Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we are requesting donation to the Marana Church of Christ located at 12311 W Moore Road Marana, AZ 85653 or the Prescott Church of Christ located at 1495 E Rosser Street Prescott, AZ 86301.
