William D. Woehlecke, 92 passed away peacefully at home of natural causes on March 11, 2021

He was born 1928 in Pontiac, IL., raised in Sikeston, Missouri next to his parent’s Woehlecke Florist & Greenhouse business. In 1950 he received his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the Univ. of Missouri, Columbia. He served in the USMC, a Korean War Veteran, final ranking of Cpt.
Summer of 1952 he moved to Arizona, and started as a clerk for Producers Sunland Cotton Gin at Friendly Corner and later became manager. In the 1970-80’s he was manager of the Triple E Cotton Gin.
Married Alice Jane Kinney of Kinney’s La Osa Livestock Co., Red Rock, AZ in 1956, where he later became manager of the ranching operation. Together they raised their five children Greta 63 (Frank) Magee, Sonya Woehlecke 62, Karl 60 (Lisa Willis) Woehlecke, Ted 59 (Teresa Rhyan) Woehlecke and Gus (1963-1968) on the ranch.
Along with his ranching and farming he worked on the board for Pinal County Rural Electrical District #5 for 58 years. He also enjoyed serving his surrounding community on the Red Rock School Board, Pinal County 4-H Board, Arizona Power Authority and Central Arizona Irrigation District. He was a member of the Arizona Cattle Growers and Southern Arizona Cattle Protective Association.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife “A.J.”, son WiIliam August “Gus”, Parents William and Josephine (Erler) Woehlecke, brother Edward Woehlecke.
He is survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. No public services will be held. Private family graveside burial.
